With Sidecar, you can now make your MacBook have an external display, virtually making my LunaDisplay that I just reviewed worthless until better features arrive for it. With multitasking features, pencil support, gestures such as cut-copy & paste, one of the BIGGEST functionalities that Apple announced (and didn’t announce) was Sidecar and Mouse support. I went against what the fruit company told me and installed iPadOS, their latest, more capable operating system that is finally after years of asking, bringing the tablet on par with the MacBook in terms of usability. So before I get into exactly why I love the Slim Folio Pro, let’s start with the iPadOS, which will be released to the public later this year. And right along with it, Logitech’s Slim Folio Pro. Slim folio pro#I found small cases I would use the 1TB iPad Pro at that point I paid way too much for, but then WWDC came. I wanted a smaller device that would be able to go with me everywhere, allow me to multitask, even in extremely exaggerated circumstances where I would actually put the overpriced Apple Pencil to good use. With my previous iPad Pro, it sat in a drawer collecting dust before I finally sold it off to the closest bidder. Late last year I regretted purchasing my 11-inch iPad Pro, not for its size, but for its usability. So before everyone rushes to purchase themselves the wrong keyboard cases for their iPad, let me tell you about my personal favorite, and go-to case: Logitech’s Slim Folio Pro for iPad Pro 11-inch & 12.9 Inch. They would never be as powerful, or nearly as good as carrying around your trusty laptop. Thanks for reading, I hope this will help you and make a better purchase decision. For years we’ve heard that iPads will never replace MacBooks. However on practical usage, it won't be much of a problem, since control center is more convient than the button it self and there's its a "Lock screen" button at the bottom and it really comes in handy. The button is well wrapped and protected, but quite hard to click on it. The price is "around" 108€, however, it's is highly possible to find a cheaper options for this keyboard. (it's hard to explain how it will look like with on it's writing angle, let me know if you want to see a sample photo) Writing with Apple pencil on this is quite a stable and safe experience, because the bottom case will offer quite a grip. The backlit looks really cool, but its quite impractical, its better if you just turn on the light in the room.įunction keys are a bonus for this keyboard, its ergonomically better. The angle of the keyboard is too steep and harder to use compare to the smart keyboard folio. The key travel is amazing, its perfect for anyone. The weight is fuxking heavy, however, it won't be a problem if you aren't constantly on the go. The distance between keys are closer than normal keyboard, may take a some time to get used to. The button are pretty accessible and exposed without protection. (I won't discuss much on the budget, since it varies between people.) The price is 199€ at the moments and it is quite unlikely to find any cheaper option other than that. Writing with Apple pencil on this case is quite a weird experience, because you will have to lay it completely flat on the table, and it doesnt offer much friction(Which isn't safe). The cover will lose its glossy texture at the spot where you grab the ipad overtime. The protection is horrible, I often times feel concerned for my ipad in my backpack. The key travel is perfectly fine for people who aren't a heavy typer. The distance between the keys are wider, which makes its feel closer to your day to day normal laptop size keyboard. I own both smart keyboard and logitech slim folio (11 inch, 2018) and these are my personal opinions:)
